Patty Suau is the creator of the Tiny Fckn Pix series. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Cuban-American artist Patty Suau attended New World School of the Arts and Maryland Institute College of Art. Suau graduated from Florida International University (FIU) where she received her BA in International Relations, specializing in Economics. Suau continues to live and work in Miami. Drawings form the core of her work, and she is currently working on a series of miniature erotic drawings. The drawings are no larger than three inches in height or width, and are framed in over-sized frames. The large-scale frame and big blank mat causes the viewer to discover a moment of intimacy in the vast negative space. Seduced by the tight rendering and detail of the drawings the viewers must get so close to the pieces that the negative space of the over-sized frame engulfs the peripheral view, turning the viewer into a voyeur.
